This area shows you some of my paintings, drawings and such
over the years.
My first realisation that I could draw to a standard that I was
happy with and others showed and interest, was when I was about
9 years old. From that moment I spent much of my spare time laying
on the floor at home with a pad and pencil or sitting in the corner
of the classroom, half listening to the end of days story and
quietly drawing.
Once at secondary school, I did not find time, other than the
art lessons, but did get asked to draw for the school magazine,
quite an honor, as most people offered items rather than be invited.
After leaving school I went to college to study graphic design,
and a large part of the course was painting; both still life and
nude models. I also found an interest in airbrush painting and
that started several years of painting pictures, most of which
are featured here.
Of late I have returned to my roots as a pencil artist. For me
there is something natural about the pencil, and I also like that
fact I can pick up the work and draw, without any preparation
or clean down after, so it fits into a busy lifestyle.
